Officer Accused of Indecent Exposure Resigns

A Santa Barbara police detective charged with indecent exposure abruptly resigned on Thursday. Police department officials say the resignation was voluntary. The news came on the same day Officer Brian Sawicki pleaded not guilty to the charges. A park ranger arrested Sawicki last month near Refugio State Beach after two teenage girls reported they saw him inappropriately touching himself while off duty.
