Competition In Santa Barbara Triathlon Begins Saturday

Santa Barbara, CA-- Expect road closures and heavy traffic during Saturday's Santa Barbara Triathlon.

Cabrillo Boulevard between Highway 101 and Milpas will be closed between 5 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Instead of using the Cabrillo off-ramp, drivers can take the Garden Street exit whether you're north or southbound.

The closure should cause congestion at the Milpas and Cabrillo intersection, so try to avoid that area.

The cycling portion of the race is expected to affect traffic on Highway 192 during the hours of 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., between Montecito and Carpinteria.

Proceeds from this weekend's competition will be donated to the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara's Well Fit Program.
