LocalAlleged Cross-Country Marijuana Trafficking Ring Busted In Santa Barbara County
Santa Barbara, CA-- One man is under arrest and two others were cited after a month long investigation uncovered an illegal marijuana grow and drug trafficking ring in Goleta, Montecito and Summerland.
Detectives with the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department arrested 35-year-old Misha Ford of Summerland, and cited two other men after serving search warrants at three different locations. Sheriff officials seized over 400 marijuana plants worth up to $800,000. They also found significant amounts of processed marijuana, cocaine and close to $20,000 in cash. According to the release issued Friday, the men are believed to have been involved in a cross-country trafficking operation. Investigators say the men were shipping amounts of marijuana to the locations in New Jersey and New York. |
