Nuclear Reactor Reopened At Diablo Power Plant

Avila Beach, CA-- Officials with PG&E announced early Friday morning that power has been restored to Unit 2, which was shut down earlier this week at Diablo Canyon Power Plant.

The reactor was shut down after a blown fuse caused a loss of power to the unit on Tuesday.

Officials at the Diablo Power Plant said the power failure at no time posed any threat to public safety.
