Hollywood's Fate In the Hands Of The Jury

Christina Heller

Santa Barbara, CA-- Jurors in the Jesse "James" Hollywood murder-kidnap trial, began deliberations Wednesday afternoon following the conclusion of closing arguments.

Hollywood is accused of masterminding the kidnap and murder of a 15-year-old boy from the San Fernando Valley. Prosecutors allege, that Nicolas Markowitz was kidnapped because of a drug debt the boy's half-brother owed to Hollywood.

Hollywood's defense says, although he did kidnap Markowitz, he never ordered the murder of the 15-year-old. They also assert that Hollywood's associates who say they were ordered to kill Markowitz, are known liars.

The prosecution told jurors on Tuesday, "Hollywood is as guilty of murder as if he pulled the trigger himself."

If convicted, Hollywood could face the death penalty.
