Sgt. Erik Raney with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has told KEY News the proposed "Heal The World" celebration to be held at Chamberlin Ranch, neighboring Neverland Ranch, has been cancelled.

Los Olivos, CA-- KEY News has learned that a celebration of Michael Jackson's life will be held at Chamberlin Ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley.

According to Scott Corridan with Releve Unlimited, plans are under way for a public gathering being dubbed the Michael Jackson "Heal The World" celebration. The festivities are slated to begin on Friday morning at 5 a.m.

Corridan said the gathering is open to the public, those attending will be directed to park on the grounds of Chamberlin Ranch at a cost of $40 per car.

Corridan also said preparations are underway for Friday's event and thousands are expected to attend.
