LocalUPDATE: Jackson Family Spokesman Say Memorial Will Not Be Held At Neverland
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Jackson family spokesman says a public memorial for Michael Jackson is in the works, but it won't be held at the late pop star's Neverland Ranch.
No further details are provided in the statement issued Wednesday by family spokesman Ken Sunshine. The public relations firm Sunshine, Sachs & Associates has been retained by the family and says it will announce those plans shortly. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Los Olivos, CA-- While fans and media from around the world flock to Michael Jackson's former estate Neverland Ranch after reports that, a public memorial will held on Thursday, the Associated Press is saying not so fast. The AP is reporting now that a source close to the Jackson family says Jackson will not be buried at the Santa Ynez Valley ranch, and a memorial will most likely be held in the Los Angeles area. Reports are also circulating that Jackson may be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood. Officials with the County of Santa Barbara have confirmed or denied that a memorial or any event is to be held at Neverland Ranch. However, Sgt.
