Drivers In Ventura Angry Over Signal Light Controversy

Christina Heller

Ventura, CA-- Ticketed drivers complaining about photo enforced intersections have led to a Ventura County Grand Jury Investigation.

This week the report revealed that the timing was off at one of Ventura's busiest intersections at the corner of California Street and Thompson Boulevard.

The three month study found that more than 800 drivers were ticketed for running that light compared to 75 at other photo enforced intersections.

Although the city has 60 days to respond the Ventura's Transportation Manager says the signal's timing complies with state standards.

KEY News Ventura County Bureau Chief Tracy Lehr has more on the report.
