CHP Has New Tool To Catch Speeding Motorists
The next time you speed on a local freeway, the California Highway Patrol may be aiming the most accurate speed gun it's ever used, at the hood of your car. The new tool is now in the hands of officers who are nabbing speeders left and right.
There are many cars going over 65 miles per hour here on Highway 101. Some are bunched up in packs confusing the traditional radar guns. The new tool is called Lidar. It can single you out, clock your speed and lead to a ticket. KEY News Senior Reporter John Palminteri has the story. |
