Anti-War Exhibit Sparks Controversy

Alys Martinez

There's controversy over art at a local gallery in downtown Santa Barbara. A local exhibit featuring anti-war works has sparked a wave of criticism for gallery owner Frank Goss. Goss says he has received what amounted to death threats after he kept the art exhibit in the gallery.

This exhibit encompasses two years of oil paintings and tapestries by world renown artist John Nava -- showcasing his views on the Iraq war and domestic failures, such as the post-hurricane Katrina crisis.
Despite the criticism, controversy and the occasional threat, Goss says he feels compelled to keep the installation up for another month.

KEY News reporter Beth Farnsworth shows us the controversial exhibit.
