Elementary Principal Accused Of Having Sex With Former Student

Santa Maria, CA-- Police have arrested 32-year-old, elementary school Principal Brookann Collier. They say Collier was involved in a sexual relationship with one of her former students.

The victim, a 15-year-old female told investigators that Collier had befriended her at a young age while teaching at her school. Investigators believe the sexual relationship began when the victim was 14.

After obtaining a search warrant and arrest warrant, officers arrested Collier at her home Thursday morning.

Collier was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for a violation of Child Molestation with bail set at $100,000.00.

The Santa Maria Bonita School District who employed Collier emailed KEY News the following statement:
"The Santa Maria-Bonita School District has been advised of an investigation of one of its administrators by the Santa Maria Police Department. We cannot comment on the investigation except to state that we are not in the possession of any information that raises concerns regarding the safety of our students. The District believes its most important duty is to protect the safety of its students, and that duty will always come first."
