The Montecito woman charged in the fatal hit and run of her 71-year-old neighbor entered a plea of not guilty today. Authorities say 20-year-old Heather Hulsey was reaching for her cell phone when her S-U-V struck and killed psychiatrist Ronald Shlensky then allegedly left the scene.

Hulsey made her first court appearance today with her father and court appointed attorney. Though her attorney Hulsey expressed regret for the doctor's death several weeks ago. KEY News reporter Michelle Cole was in court and has the story.
