Paso Robles, CA-- Police have arrested a man they believe hit and critically injured a Los Angeles County teen.

40-year-old Richard Wideman was arrested after police determined located his damaged 1998 BMW on the 800 block of Sycamore Canyon. According to investigators the damage to Wideman's vehicle was consistent with debris left behind at the scene of the accident.

When officers responded to a call of a hit and run accident late Tuesday night, they found 19-year-old Marcos Ledsma lying in street, suffering from major injuries.

He was treated at the scene then rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Wideman was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of felony DUI and felony Hit and Run.
