Tenants Can Do a Foreclosure Check on their Landlords

Written by John Palminteri

You may be paying your rent, but is your landlord going into foreclosure?

A new web site "rental foreclosure.com" lets tenants do a back ground check of their property owner.

It also lets those effected post information, ask questions and seek help for their situation.

The Santa Barbara Rental Property Association says, "Any tenant in a foreclosed property must be given a minimum of
60 days notice before an unlawful detainer can be filed."

This year alone, nationwide, rental foreclosures.com says over 356 thousand tenants were evicted due to foreclosures on the property they lived in.

Senior Reporter John Palminteri has the story.
