Shoppers Find Many Last Minute Deals
There may be a late holiday season economic boost taking place. Many customers looking for gifts have found big bargains. Stores are discounting a wide variety of items. Some prices are lowered 40 to 75 percent.
In Santa Maria at Wal Mart, customers said cash register lines were long but employees were helping to get shoppers through the shortest lines first. Parking lots were filling up by mid day. Several local stores have plans to stay open late to take in as much business as possible during these slower economic times.
