Hanukkah Begins In The Tri-Counties
Santa Barbara, CA-- Sunday night marked the start of Hannukah. More celebrations are being held in the Tri-Counties to mark the eight day Jewish holiday.
Hanukkah commemorates a military victory over the Greeks. It's also called "the Festival of Lights". A menorah was lit last night for the first day of Hanukkah at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara. It's not too late celebrate. Chabad of Thousand Oaks is hosting a family festival in the courtyard of the Janss Marketplace Monday night. The festival features music, refreshments, and a Menorah lightning. It begins at 5 p.m. and goes until 7. Admission is free. |
