Ped Hospitalized After Hit And Run

Santa Maria, CA-- A Santa Maria man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle early Monday morning.

Police say, 49-year-old, James Ray Daniel Jr. was crossing the 1100 block of N. Broadway when he was hit by a pick-up truck.

According to witnesses the driver fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a mid 1990's dark-colored Ford Ranger.

Daniel was taken to Marian Medical Center and treated for major injuries to his head, face, and right leg.
