Santa Barbara Hangout Debuts Revitalization Projects

Santa Barbara, CA-- Santa Barbara's Westside is celebrating the expansion of Bohnett Park. The expansion is located on the corner of San Andres and West Victoria Streets, near the Boys And Girls Club.

The project provides a quiet, green oasis connecting San Andreas Street to the existing lower park that features more active recreation such as soccer.

The most distinctive feature of the expansion is the framework of a craftsman-style home. The interior has a concrete couch.

Several members of the Bohnett family were on hand for the ceremony.

Officials are counting on neighbors to watch over the park to keep crime out and to make sure it's a safe place for families.
