Fire Aid Deadline Looming
Santa Barbara, CA-- Victims of the Tea Fire have 30 days left to register for Federal-State assistance. This includes homeowners, renters and business owners who suffered damages in November.
Officials with federal and state disaster recovery programs are urging those who have not applied for assistance to do so as soon as possible. January 20, 2009 is the absolute last day applications will be accepted FEMA's Individual Assistance program. Loan applications to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for disaster-related losses to real and personal property must be submitted by January 21, 2009. Residents can apply by calling the toll-free help number 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA) (TTY 1-800-462-7585) or you can register online at www.fema.gov |
