Industrial Accident Injures One
Ventura County, CA-- An oil field worker is recovering after an industrial sent him to the hospital. It happened at a drilling site along Ventura Avenue just north of shell road.
At first, firefighters received a call about an injured worker. When they arrived, they called out a number of Hazmat crews. They say an Aera Energy "oil head" exploded while a contractor worked on it. Hazmat crews are still on scene making sure gas venting from the well does not pose a danger to the surrounding community. A spokewoman with Aera Energy LLC told KEY News the injured employee was treated for minor injuries and released shortly after. |
