Firefighters Invite Residents to "Fill Their Boots"

Residents in the Tri-Counties joined forces in the fight against Neuromuscular Disease. For the first time, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties United Saturday to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrohpy Association's "Fill The Boot" Fundraiser.

Firefighters from across the Tri-Counties filled boots for "Jerry's Kids" at intersections in at least 12 cities from Lompoc to Simi Valley. Donations collected from the fundraiser will be used for things like durable medical equipment, funding for research, and a comprehensive patient services program.
