The Santa Barbara Car Free Project has announced more than 40 different Santa Barbara hotels, restaurants and activities are offering discounts of up to 50% for those who can prove they traveled to the area by Amtrak.
All you have to do is show your current Amtrak train ticket at the time of purchase. The deals last through the year 2009.
The Santa Barbara Car Free Project encourages car free travel for cleaner air and a healthier planet.
Amtrak offers 11 trains arriving/departing daily from Santa Barbara including the Pacific Surfliner and the newly refurbished Coast Starlight.
