Santa Paula School Board Ballot Investigation

Santa Paula, CA-- A school board candidate who lost by one vote on election day has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Ventura County's Elections Officer.

Supporters of Ofelia De La Torre are concerned that some of the 16 precincts may have handed out wrong ballots in the race for the Santa Paula Elementary District Board.

Rick Cadmen and Gary Marshall were scheduled to be sworn in this week.

If a problem is found it could trigger a legal battle and a special election.
