New Building Brightens Goleta's Economy
A new office building on South Fairview in Goleta has been celebrated as a key to the areas economic comeback. The Towbes Group also says the nearly 50 thousand square feet of space is almost completely leased out already.
President Michael Towbes also said the tax dollars generated by the building will go directly into the redevelopment funds to help improved other areas of downtown Goleta. One of the biggest new tenants is Yardi which has office space nearby, and needed room to grow. But there will also be a small, growing business at the site as well. The Three Pickles Sandwich shop has secured it's second location here to go with it's site on Canon Perdido Street downtown. Owner Robert Lovejoy says he plans to offer a wider menu with breakfast selections, and hopes many of the local employees will be able to work and get something to eat without having to use a car. Senior Reporter John Palminteri was given a tour of the building by the Towbes Group and has our report. |
