Local Communities Remember Slain Rabbi And Family
Ventura County, CA-- A local Rabbi who grew up with the Rabbi slain in India is remembering his friend tonight.
Terrorists killed Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, his wife and three other hostages at the Chabad in Mumbai last week. Local Chabad centers are dealing with their grief through prayer. Rabbi Muchnick of Chabad of Oxnard hopes acts of kindness will replace the darkness with light. He says he'll never forget his friend's smile and warmth. A memorial service for the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks is taking place Monday night at the Chabad of Thousand Oaks. The services start at 6:45 p.m and will be located at the Thousand Oaks Jewish Center at 2060 E. Avenida de Los Arboles, Suite 1 in Thousand Oaks. On Wednesday, a memorial service will be held at Chabad of Santa Barbara beginning at 7:30 p.m. For more information you can log onto www.sbchabad.org/memorial |
