Goleta, CA-- Despite an onslaught of bad news surrounding the economy there is optimism to be found.

A new president is to be sworn in and a new congress is set to reconvene after the holidays.

We had a chance to speak with Congresswoman Lois Capps during the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce luncheon Monday afternoon.

She says there are many issues on the table and continues to gather up ammunition from constituents to take back to Washington in January.
