One Confirmed Dead After Boat Capsizes

Oxnard, CA-- At least one person is dead after a boat capsized off the coast of Ventura County.

Authorities say the 15 foot motorboat capsized off Mandalay Beach near Embassy Suites hotel Tuesday afternoon.

One of the three boaters managed to swim to shore. A Sheriff's helicopter spotted the other two floating nearby.

Two of the boaters were transported to St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.

Ventura County Medical Examiner has confirmed that at least one of the boaters was pronounced dead at the hospital.
