Santa Maria Man Suspected Of Assaulting Young Girl

Santa Maria, Ca-- 19-year-old Alberto Angeles Carmona is currently being held in Santa Barbara County Jail on child molestation and sexual assault charges.

Carmona is believed to have sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in Santa Maria.

Thursday evening officers with the Santa Maria Police Department responded to the report of an assault in progress and found several subjects detaining Carmona.

After an initial investigation, police arrested Carmona and he was later booked into Santa Barbara County Jail.
