Sheriff’s Department Seizes Over 67 Million Dollars In Marijuana
Earlier this week, the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department cleared marijuana grows in 6 separate locations, all within the National Forrest. In total, the Sheriff’s Department seized 16,800 mature marijuana plants. The estimated street value of the plants is $67,200,000 according to a DEA valuation.
The Sheriff’s Department, working in conjunction with the Department of Justice CAMP (Campaign Against Marijuana Production) task force and the National Forrest Service, approximately 25 law enforcement personnel participated in the eradication efforts.
