Tea Fire: Westmont Recovery
Montecito, CA-- Thousand of student and faculty were forced to evacuate Westmont College after the destruct Tea Fire broke out last Thursday.
The university's president announced classes will not resume until after the Thanksgiving holiday, on December 1st. School officials say about 20% of the Montecito campus that sits below the Tea Garden burned. Buildings lost include the Psychology building, Math building, Physics building and three dozen Clark Hall dorm rooms. 14 professors also lost their off-campus homes.
