Tea Fire: Air Quality Watch

Mike Waller

The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District has announced today that the Air Quality Warning issued for the county because of the Tea Fire has now been downgraded to an Air Quality Watch.

The air quality has improved, but some areas may still be affected by smoke, ash, and other fires burning around Southern California.

Everyone, especially people with heart or lung disease (including asthma), older adults, and children should limit time spent outdoors. You should also avoid exercise when smoke and ash are in the air.

It is also aimportant when cleaning up ash particles to avoid doing anything to stir particles in the air, and especially to avoid using leaf blowers.
