High School Hit By VandalsVandals deface religious icons and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to local Catholic school.
Ojai, CA--Authorities are searching for suspects who are responsible for vandalizing sidewalks, buildings, sports fields and a religious icon at Villanova Prep School.
The damage was discovered Friday morning by the school officials. Rev. Gregory Heidenblut found the statue of the school's patron saint covered in blue and yellow paint. Ventura county sheriff's say the suspects painted the school's sidewalks, buildings, and a statue with blue and yellow paint. Those are the schools colors of Villanova rival, Nordhoff High. The discovery of the vandalism was made just hours before a highly anticipated football game between the two schools. Ventura County Sheriff's Detectives believe the suspects responsible for the damage are current and former Nordhoff High students. The investigation is on going. |
