Metal Thieves Caught In The Act3 men arrested in Ventura County after sheriff's respond to calls of suspicious activity.
Fillmore, CA--Ventura County Sheriff Deputies have arrested 3 men they believe were attempting to steal thousand of dollars worth of oilfield parts.
Employees at the Seneca Oilfield noticed the subjects acting suspiciously in a remote section of the oilfields. According to a 911 call from the site, the men were posing as oilfield workers with their own truck and forklift. Once deputies arrived to the area, access roads leading to the site were shut down in an effort to catch the suspects. Deputies were able to apprehend the men while in the act of removing property from the oilfield. An investigation at the scene, uncovered evidence that also linked the men to the thefts. The suspects were in possession of $28,000 worth of stolen property. Joseph Hermosillo of Santa Paula, Christopher Rail and Brian Miller both of Oxnard were arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail. |
