Judge Gags Attorneys In Juarez Trial
According to published reports, Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Brian Hill has placed a gag order on attorneys involved in the Ricardo Juarez murder trial. Calls into the office of Santa Barbara County Public Defender Karen Atkins were not returned Tuesday afternoon. It is being reported that the judge is trying to limit the possibility of members of the jury hearing information outside of the courtroom. And, he feels it's important that the case be tried in the courtroom and not in the media. Ricardo Juarez is being tried as an adult for the March 2007 stabbing death of 15 year old Angel Linares.
