Troubling Brewing In McInerney Murder Case
The preliminary hearing for the 14 year old boy accused of killing his classmate hit a legal road block Tuesday morning. Brandon McInerney is accused of shooting Lawrence King in the head during class at E.O. Green Junior High in February of this year. This week, McInerney's father notified his son's public defender that they have retained the United Defense Group for a fee of $1. The public defenders office has asked the judge to appoint another criminal attorney as a guardian so, they can be sure the change is in the teen's best interest. KEY News Ventura County Bureau Chief Tracy Lehr has more on what's next for the McInerney murder trial.
