Voter Registration Skyrockets State Wide
The Tri-Counties are reaching a milestone in the number of registered voters heading to the November 4th presidential showdown. With nearly a month left until the voter registration deadline, Ventura County already more than 400,000 registered. That is an increase of almost 4,000 from the last presidential election in 2004. In San Luis Obispo County, 152,000 have registered to vote, which is actually a slight decrease from 2004. In Santa Barbara County, more than 182,000 voters are registered and the County Clerk expects that number to rise in the coming days.
