Santa Barbara County 2008 Real Estate Outlook

The 2008 Real Estate and Economic Outlook report is out and locally, housing numbers continue their downward spiral, particularly in northern Santa Barbara County. And forecasters say they're now keeping a close eye on the South County.

But there is a silver lining: experts say the number of foreclosures peaked, and they're actually seeing small rebounds in estate and condo sales.

So far, Montecito and Hope Ranch are immune to the housing crisis. For those in other areas, analysts say home sales will look better by spring of 2010.
