Mother Of Hit And Run Victim Speaks Out

A local mother is dealing with a tragic loss for the second time in as many years. The body of her daughter, 14 year old, Christina Veloz-Payne, was found Thursday in the bushes on the side of the 101 freeway in Goleta. She is the victim of an apparent hit and run as she tried to cross the freeway following a fireworks show on Monday night.
