UPDATE: Deadly Hwy 126 Accident

Authorities say, Steven Higgins of Ojai was driving the truck that slammed into a highway clean up crew on Thursday, killing one man and injuring two others. The fatal crash happened just east of the Edwards overpass about 10:40 in the morning. Investigators say Higgins's flat bed truck lost control and hit a Mercedes before careening into a group of inmates in a work release program under Cal-Trans supervision. 22 year-old, Christopher Williams died at the scene. Another work release inmate is in critical condition. A third worker and the two drivers suffered minor injuries.
