Local Congresswoman Lois Capps announced Wednesday a $250,000 transitional housing grant will be given to the Women's Shelter Program in San Luis Obispo County. The program plays a crucial role in providing safe housing for women and children survivors of domestic violence. The money will provide housing, subsidize childcare, and provide counseling and self-defense classes.
