Child Pornography Sweep Nets Local Deputy
A former deputy with the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Department has been arrested in connection to a child pornography ring. Bryan Goossens, has been at the center of an FBI investigation for sometime now. Recently federal investigators carried out a search of Goossens home along with seizing his personal computer. The Federal Bureau of Investigation held a press conference Tuesday morning in Los Angeles to announce the arrests of more than 50 individuals. All of the men have been accused of using the Internet to trade child pornography. Jeremy Neubauer of Nipomo was also among those arrested during the several month long sting. Seven men from Ventura County have also been charged with trading child pornography via a peer to peer server.
