Woman Accused Of Deadly DUI, Appears In Court
A Santa Barbara woman accused of killing an investigator for the Santa Barbara Deputy District Attorney's office remains free despite a judge raising her bail. Ashley Johnigan was initially free on $100,000 bail but that amount was raised to $200,000 on Monday morning.
Although the fatal accident happened more than three months ago, Johnigan has finally been arraigned in a Santa Barbara County Superior Court. She pleaded not guilty to four charges which include murder and D-U-I causing bodily injury. Johnigan's new bail amount was paid before the end of the business day and she remained free. She will be back in court next month to set a preliminary hearing. |
