Five suspects were taken into custody after three stolen vehicles were found at an address on Santa Clara Avenue near Wright Road. A suspected methamphetamine lab was later found after a search warrant was served on the property.

The incident began when a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen yesterday from Oxnard. The vehicle was equipped with an OnStar vehicle locator system which activated after the owner reported it stolen.

OnStar contacted the Ventura County Sheriff's Department with the location of the vehicle and during the investigation deputies discovered evidence of criminal activity on the property.

A private hazardous disposal company responded to dispose of the items found to be associated with the suspected meth lab.
All suspects were arrested for vehicle theft and drug related charges. Authorities are still investigating.
