One person is dead and another is rushed to the hospital after an Amtrak passenger train slammed into vehicle Thursday afternoon in Ventura. According to Ventura County Fire Battalion Cheif Luis Espinoza, a call came in just before 3pm Thursday of a train vs. a vehicle. The accident occurred near the streets of Colt and Sperry. When crews arrived on scene they found a car with two passengers had been struck by a train, killing one of them. The car was cut in two according to fire officials.
