GAP Fire Emergency Meeting: State Of Emergency Declared
A local State of Emergency has been declared for the county of Santa Barbara due to a late night run of the fire. The fire has now burned 2,500 acres and is still at 5% containment. The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors will hold an emergency meeting Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m at the County Administration Building in downtown Santa Barbara. They will meet to ratify a declaration which will help the County to compete for firefighting resources that are in short supply across the state. The meeting will be televised on the County Government cable TV station, Channel 20.
