Central Coast Plays Vital Role In Norcal Firefight
Stubborn wildfires are sending flames in all directions as more than 19,000 firefighters struggle to gain control. Fire crews say there are currently more than 1,400 wildfires burning across the state. One of the most severe fires is the "Basin Complex" burning five miles south of
Big Sur. It has charred nearly 40,000 acres and is still only said to be about three percent contained. KEY News Reporter Mike Klan has more on how an airport right here on the Central Coast is playing a big role in the fight. |
