2008 Summer Solstice Festival
The largest single day arts event in Santa Barbara County is about to get underway.
The 2008 Summer Solstice will kick off this weekend in Santa Barbara. The festival begins on Saturday at noon and is expected to draw as many as 100-thousand spectators from around the nation. A grand parade filled with costumes, creatively choreographed dance routines, and floats will wind its way down State Street and end up at Alameda Park. There will also be a party at Alameda Park on Friday night from 4 to 9pm. Alameda Park is located on the corner of Anacapa and Micheltorena Streets. |
