Local Students Hold Sit-In
Close to 100 students at Santa Barbara High School held a sit-in on campus for nearly 4 hours. The student are upset over the cancellation of a student organized assembly. The assembly was suppose to consist of a film and presentation by the Veterans For Peace organization, which held a similar presentation last year at the school. According to administrators the content of the assembly was considered biased and they felt it was not appropriate for the student body. However students disagreed and argued that the routine presence of military recruiters on campus is biased as well. KEY News Reporter Mike Klan has more on this campus controversy.
