Justified Homicide
The Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office says the shooting death of a resident, at the hands of county deputies, was justified homicide. The incident happened back on March 6th on Via Gennita in Santa Barbara. Authorities say they responded to a disturbance report. When they arrived at the home, 64-year-old Donald George confronted them armed with a handgun. Authorities say he refused to drop the weapon, and then pointed the gun at a deputy. That's when they opened fire and killed George. The district attorney's office believes the deputies thought they were in imminent danger.
