Highway 101 Work To Disrupt Heavy Commute
If $4 a gallon gas isn't enough to drive commuters crazy, how about more traffic jams? This summer, work will begin on a two mile stretch of highway 101 between Santa Barbara and Montecito. Among other things the project will add a third southbound lane from Milpas past Hot Springs Road. Northbound, a combination of third lanes will be added from Cabrillo to Salinas and a merge lane from Salinas over Milpas. Two bridges will also be replaced at Milpas. KEY News Reporter Mike Klan joins us with more on what commuters and businesses expect.
